We’re seeking a Back End Team Leader to lead the delivery and evolution of our back-office systems, driving continuous improvements and ensuring that our platforms are high-performing, secure, and future-ready.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities 

  • Taking prototypes from design stage through to build stage, collaborating with our key stakeholders to deliver the best experience for our clients 

  • Create new reusable components

  • Work alongside our Front-End team to deliver new features, or improve existing ones 

  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure quality deliverables 

  • Working with our Client Services team to provide technical analysis, support and fixes 

  • Support the Back-End Team Lead to guide and support the Back-End team 

Required Skills and Experience 

  • Strong hands-on coding skills in modern frameworks and languages (e.g., PHP, Go, Symphony, Laravel)

  • Solid understanding of databases

  • Experience with Service Orientated Architecture

  • Using CI/CD tooling to deploy code

  • Testing frameworks and methodologies (TDD, BDD) 

  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git)

  • Familiarity with reporting systems, ETL workloads, and system configuration tools.

  • Understanding of software design patterns

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
